I really like this tattooist’s art style, but I’m unsure about how it may heal. I know certain art styles can heal quite poorly in like a year or two, I wanna know if this art style would be okay before going for it

  1. I have a full arm sleeve of this type of work, with pieces ranging from 5 years old to 6 months. Things you need to know:
    – it heals nicely, and quickly
    – it ages well and remains super sharp many years later, esp on soft, well protected skin
    – dryer/less elastic skin and skin exposed to more sunlight does seem to spread a tiny bit more, and become less sharp. I’ve had a couple of pieces touched up but it was pretty close to not being necessary
    – these pieces take a long time to do! Expect to pay more per square inch than you’re maybe used to
    – if you choose to get this style in a more painful area (elbow, groin, around the armpit) I can tell you from personal experience that it sucks! Sure the needle is smaller than a mag blasting some colour over a large area, but that small needle has to go back and forth many times over sensitive skin.
