  1. Meh. Snake curl looks weird because its cramped into the other tattoo, and the faces of both look strange. Meh.
Also the arm shading looks too similar to the snake shading. The more I look at this the more issues I see and the more I dislike it 😬

  2. So my first tattoo was also not great lol. But it meant a lot to me (a lot of first tattoos do!)

Don’t stress that the workmanship isn’t great. Let it heal, save up some som cash, then take it to a well vetted artist and tell them exactly how sentimental it is to you. Give them your original vision and let them work their magic.

You’re actually lucky that he left a lot of blank space, because this definitely has decent bones and can be worked into something killer dude! You don’t need a cover up, just a make over ❤️

  3. This can be saved and/or blasted over. Don’t feel too disheartened. Remember that when it comes to tattoos, you will always get what you pay for. Find a local artist that values their time as much as you value your body. Save up and get a sick ass tattoo. You won’t regret it. Quality over quantity every day. Especially with tattoos.

I say this from experience. I had a scratcher of a tattoo that had a horrible experience associated with it too. Took a couple years but I finally blasted over it a few years back. No regrets and I couldn’t be happier about it.
